The Highjacked Democratic Party
The open hunting season on President Bush began with Howard Dean's entry into the political limelight. I attended a "Meet-Up" in early Sept. 2003 with a liberal friend. I was amazed at the open hostility, anger, and distorted thinking.
This anger and hatred for the President changed the demeanor of the Democratic Party. We saw Kerry jump onto the Hatred Bandwagon early on...as if trying to win the support of those already angered. From then on, all Kerry has done is throw the words and tone of hatred into his attack speeches.
Yet he never found the time to actually tell anyone what his plans were, other than increase taxes and undo all of what Bush has accomplished.
And now we see that Kerry has sizeable support...from people who have no knowledge of what Kerry plans to bring to the table...what his plans for defense are...how will he undo the long sought after Medicare reform which Bush got through (which the Dems had been trying to achieve for years), his magical plan to create millions of new jobs when Bush's tax cut is now generating jobs at a rate of approx 15 million over 8 years.
No, the Democratic Party is not the same party your folks belonged to. Not the same Party as JFK either. The current Democratic Party is being highjacked by radical liberals who by hatred and anger are splitting the U.S. population into polar extremes.
Gone are the days when we could debate the small differences between the Parties and still remain friends...knowing the country would still remain strong and focused. We now face a division of the country unparalleled in our history, except for the period of the Civil War.
And it all started less than a year ago by a Vermont Governor who was filled with hate and anger.
It is a sad day for the United States to see how such a desperation to win can be fueled by these negative and destructive emotions. If Kerry wins with this kind of hatred, should we expect any difference in how he approaches the world? His desperation is blinding him, just like hatred is blinding the people supporting him.
God Save the USA.
