The People of Ohio

November 3, 2004 -- 9:54am

Today, the people of Ohio are the most important people on Earth.

Although Ohio has not been called for one side or the other, world history hangs in the balance.

When the State numbers become clear, it will elect one man who stands for traditional American values and morality, or a man who stands for socialistic reform.

At that point, the decision will ripple throughout the world. The order of world priorities will be changed. The year-long campaign-generated limbo which has affected military campaigns, social program improvements, and international detente will dissolve and movement on these issues will progress.

The full strength of the United States will once again emerge. The States can get on with their responsibility to honorably serve its citizens and the world.

Maybe this election--which "morality" was the top concern--will help the rest of the world understand that religion and God are an important part of liberty and democracy. Marxist socialism downplays religion...something the American people cannot accept.

Yes, the people of Ohio have altered the history of this country unlike any election in many years. They have spoken in favor of the "American Way". They have spoken for traditional family values and understand the need for a safer world.

The people of the State of Ohio have done their job...they are American.

It Was the Nite Before the Election...

And all through the house, the family fell apart...

Just got off a marathon phone chat with my brother-in-law regarding my decision that I don't want to be around people who: 1) Are so loyal to a political party that they are unwilling or incapable of learning something which may actually shake their belief system, and 2) outright refuse to even consider new information which could sharpen their decision-making process.

As a result, I accept my sister's refusal to even consider talking about Kerry's platform reading exactly like the 2004 election agenda of the Communist Party of the USA. Major sticking point with me.

It is this way...even if I was 1000% in love with "W", I would drop his ass in a heartbeat if I learned he was saying the same things as the Communist Party. In a NY minute his ass would be grass...I am an American, not a fucking commie.

Trying to Be "Fair" So I Checked...

Now mind you, I tried to be fair about this...researched the internet like crazy to see if the Communist Party site was bogus...but it isn't...it's the real deal from people who are intent on altering how you and I live.

So it comes down to one, simple, acid-test question: "Do you endorse a less-than-perfect American, or do you endorse the Communist 2004 election agenda?"

This is the back-breaker...you are on the line...make a stand...American or Communist?

"Bill, This Can't Be..."

My immediate family has disregarded/blown off the idea that a Presidential candidate could possibly be saying stuff like that...Why, he wants to be our President and we could never imagine our President having communist thoughts.

Now let's all get stupid and refuse to even consider suggestions like this. Does anyone remember the story of the Trojan Horse?

And so it goes. They have decided to vote for a man, regardless of anything they hear. And so...I will go.

Not even on my deathbed would I endorse someone who even remotely speaks the same stuff as a communist. I am an American Veteran who despises the hammer and sickle and everything it stands for.

What I Will Do...

Life is short, I know that. But I would be doing myself an injustice to acquiesce. I cannot accept people for shallow thinking, or willingness to be misguided or un-informed over the most important election of our lives. I cannot accept an attitude where Socialism is rolling around in the head of our President...and it is "OK".

So the net result is that I am not going to be with the rest of the family during the holidays. I will get the gifts to Jason, but will not be part of the family.

"Go On, Run (Again) from your Brother"

My sister has once again paired up with our older "brother" for his wisdom...she has done this before. When she can't defend her positions with fact or logic, she goes to him. Another slap in my face. So be it...I am tired of trying to use my education and experiences to help her see new things...Especially since she never has wanted it, really wanted it that is.

------------------------------------------

In the end, they say, "Never talk about religion or politics". Well, in this case it has driven me from my family. This will be the second and final time this happens.

"Goodnight Mrs. Calabash...where ever you are..."
